The reliability of unreliable people.

I had today off from work.
I was told yesterday that i'd get a call today about when i next had to report for work.
My workplace shuts at 5pm, abit later sometimes for the office staff, but about 5:30pm is the latest usually.
It is 7:13pm.
Now...i am not surprised that i was not called.
Nope, not one bit.
My Manager at work is quite reliable at being so unreliable.

I think i'll call 'em myself on friday if they haven't called me by then...i do want at least one day next week to rock into work knowing THIS is my LAST day at work... I don't need the money, and i am past caring about that place, and will be working for them and sending 'em stuff online for awhile after (hopefully getting paid) but...they took an eager, dedicated, desperate, hardworking person and turned them into a jaded, apathetic, desperate, hardworking person in just 10 months. Not the work...just their bullshit organisation and treatment of their personnel.

Besides...look back about 2 weeks in my LJ and you'll see i seriously needed the time off. ^_^

I'm glad you can count on your manager. I expect you will need to phone on Friday, and even then you're liable to be told "we'll get back to you".
