Okay, so I got through the not-as-bad-as-expected meeting at work today.

Tomorrow is the day I get my stitches checked and maybe removed.

Friday I'll rest up.

Saturday I drop my computer off to get fixed and then need to get started on Battletech miniature painting for the game I plan to run some-month.

Broken hardware, not a software issue.

And it's an iMac, still under warranty. No user-serviceable parts inside, in accordance with the Apple ethos.

My iMac has been a paragon of reliability, so it's been quite embarrassing all the problems Ristin's had with his. First his HD failed (I then instituted a backup routine after this--better late than never!) and now his power supply has died. Of course, as an iMac, even if it was out of warranty I don't have the tools to open it and even if I did I would have no hope of finding a compatible replacement power supply. I thought I'd put in a power regulator power board, but I don't know how reliable those things are.
