"unwanted content" you say?
Nov. 13th, 2008 08:46 amWell apparently the compulsory internet filter for illegal material will now be expanded to block "unwanted content" as well. Since it continues to be planned and pushed by the Australian Christian Lobby it's a no-brainer to work out what legal sites will be deemed 'undesireable'.
This was bad enough when it was "illegal sites only" and there was an option to "opt out"...now that it's compulsory and has been expanded well beyond the original mandate of strictly illegal content only...well...this was obviously the intent all along. Full theocratic censorship of the internet to australian citizens.
