I came home after a hard days work and discovered one of my long time friends is being viciously slandered!

Some brat has written up a so-called email, used nightcoon's name and presented her false accusations here:

I've known nightcoon for years and this is completely out of character for him!
He would NEVER do this and especially not use those words!

I just hope you people will have access to the LJcommunity where this decietful slime is spreading her lies.

Looking back into that community and her raving on ANWAR she seems to be a reactionary leftist. It's very much in character for those of her ilk to love to make patently fake accusations in hope of sympathy. Much like how Giuliana Sgrena (http://www.mediaresearch.org/cyberalerts/2005/cyb20050308.asp#1) claimed she was "targeted" by american troops.

Seems like a massive over-reaction to me. The message was from a 'Nightcoon1054168' - that doesn't mean it was from the Nightcoon you know, nor does it even mean they were necessarily trying to impersonate Nightcoon. What's more the poster even said as much in their reply to your post.

Yeah...I suppose so. Although they didn't try particularly hard in the initial post to make that distinction.

A little insider information though, Nightcoon has protested about Sibe recently so that makes him a likely target...
