Writer's Block: A real state of independents

I follow the politics, I keep myself informed of the issues of today and endeavour to cast an informed vote.

I do what I can to uphold the cultural and community values that make Australia a great country to live in.

I pay my taxes happily, knowing that they fund the public services that I and my peers use and rely upon. For instance I wouldn't have been able to go to university and study engineering, and pursue engineering as a career.

And so I make a financial contribution through my work.

*(shrug)* So, I suppose "in the normal ways".
