This is why I have such a problem with all organised (non-eastern) religions...they allow people to abuse and murder 'different people' while fully believing they're "doing the right thing".

You know what, all you faith-filled folks? You're wrong, really seriously wrong...and if you actually read your own damned holy books you'd see that.

But, no, it's much easier to focus on the bits of the various books that say "because you believe in this faith, you're great" and the out-of-context exerts that back up your own point of view.

Clarification, then right of reply time.

Ok, right-of-reply time...but a clarification first.

Yes, I am well aware that most people of any given faith are ok folks who have their own beliefs and don't try to push them on others or enforce their lifestyle onto 'different people'.
I get that, I do.

But, every faith has people that go too far, and are willing to impose their beliefs upon others...driven by a sense of moral superiority, feeling they have 'the right' to do so.


Someone respectably wise did point out to me that in my last post I was coming quite close to "crossing the line" and telling religios folks how to act, in response to being treated that way.

My response:
"Homosexuality is not a choice, it is who we are."
...that is the difference. People do choose their faith, and then some go too far and choose to enforce their belief system onto others. Me saying "hey, it's my life and none of your buisness"

Yes, and yes again, most believers of a given religion are well adjusted people who are perfectly capable of not meddling with other people's lives...not feeling the need to door-to-door preach or preach on trains or crusade or hang gays or bash gays or suicide-bomb cafes or oppress women or put their women behind veil/masks or attack abortion clinics or whatever.
...because most people are good and sensible people and don't go nuts over their faith.

So y'know what, religions extremists of the world? "live and let live" it is my life and i'll live it how I choose, not how you dictate.
And to the very many non-preachy religions folks, to you I say "drop me a line, I got no quarral with all of you" ^_^
