Interesting Times
Dec. 9th, 2004 06:54 pmInteresting times at work. A weird combination from my coworkers of frantic preperation for my imminent departure mixed with an almost jaded response. So a weird vibe of getting ready over a background of "nothing ever changes in this place" which is strange.
More unusual than that is "the moron" finally getting close to an acceptable level of performance today. Why? Well i did not work yesterday. I told the manager that i wouldn't while "the moron" was there and the manager's immediate response was that the machine wouldn't run.
I think that slapped some sense into "the moron" because he realized he had one week to make good if he wanted to keep this role (and his only percievable and tangible chance for a position with authority). He has to be able to operate the machine in my absence...or it won't be operated and he'll be back into the general labour pool at my workplace.
^_^ 4th last day finished. Still have friday, monday and probably tuesday to go.
