Two main things.

First are the many policy-incompetent politicians who are only interested in gaining power and lack a workable plan to govern.

Second are all the people who seek to punish other for their inborn traits (gender, ethnicity, sexual preference, "class" origin, nationality, etc).

And of course those often go together, like the recent example of Bob Katter whose core political goal stems from his religiously-motivated hatred of homosexuals.

Ideally polititians would seek office to see their good ideas and their solutions put into practice rather than just squabbling for more power. And ideally bigots would live and let live rather than dedicating their lives to opposing the freedoms and rights of others.

Trivial things. The strangest thing people have confessed to me have been negligible and trivial things that they have confessed as if it would irrevocably harm our friendship, when in fact they were so minor and normal as to be mainstream. And for that reason, the confession and the reason are strange to me.

That's easy. "Doesn't it take more faith to be an atheist than a believer?" is the weirdest and stupidest question that I have been asked. I get it a lot.

A close second is "Isn't atheism a religion?" or "isn't atheism just like a religion?"

Not to mention "Doesn't atheism mean you worship Satan", I get that at least weekly.

Then there's all the idiocy about homosexuality. "You're gay? Doesn't that mean you have AIDS?" and "You're gay? Doesn't that mean you sleep around with lots of men?" and "You're gay? So that means you're a rapist?" and so on.

Marko just asked (in jest) "Are you now, or have you ever been a raccoon?" but that was a joke and even then not as stupid as the anti-atheist and anti-gay stuff.

Nothing too interesting, there's some junk that's been cluttering up the house for years. An old computer-desk in the lounge and an old (but working) TV as well.

We recently got rid of three non-functional air conditioners that we somehow ended up with. Second-hand ones. We got them, they didn't work, and then they stayed here for a year or two.

On the other paw my beloved mate would probably point to all the miniature painting stuff I have spread around on the main table and say that needs to go.
