Two main things.

First are the many policy-incompetent politicians who are only interested in gaining power and lack a workable plan to govern.

Second are all the people who seek to punish other for their inborn traits (gender, ethnicity, sexual preference, "class" origin, nationality, etc).

And of course those often go together, like the recent example of Bob Katter whose core political goal stems from his religiously-motivated hatred of homosexuals.

Ideally polititians would seek office to see their good ideas and their solutions put into practice rather than just squabbling for more power. And ideally bigots would live and let live rather than dedicating their lives to opposing the freedoms and rights of others.

Ideally we could feed all politicians to the crows and live in collective anarchism with no artificial geographic or socioeconomic boundaries.

Too bad real life doesn't work like that. :(

I don't understand why politics aren't used to improve life for everyone in the country. It is very sad that they are often used as a platform in attempts to subjugate human rights.

What I'm most weary about is running out of basic household items that are taken for granted but are disappearing, or soon-to-be gone, like incadescent lightbulbs, CRT televisions and monitors and regular cable TV signal.

Examples of things I have to do without now: original Head & Shoulders 2-in-one shampoo (the blue-green one, not the useless white one), original Right Guard (made by Colgate-Palmolive - Dial bought it and scrapped the original formula), alcohol-free almond essence (for my homemade chocolate pudding), pink Dove soap bars (which didn't dry up my skin, unlike all of Dove's current line), good quality VCRs to play our collections of tapes (I buy them used in yard sales), a good DVR DVD recorder (Pioneer's last good model (DVR-520H) goes back to 2004 and when they show up on eBay they generate bidding wars), quality kitchen appliances like the classic Sunbeam automatic toaster (another sought-after item in yard sales)... I could go on like this...
